FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: device enables determination of the location of vehicles without installation of route sensors on coordinates generated by a GPS receiver, as well as on a backup version - coordinates of stations and distance travelled by the vehicle from said stations. Power consumption of each vehicle as well as the entire fleet of vehicles is monitored, which forms a data base for analysing and introducing power saving technologies. The device also monitors and controls the load of the overhead system and feeders supplying said system. The device automates exchange of data and voice messages. Standard phrases can be transmitted in broadcast message mode by telemetry channel commands and are decoded into voice messages by an autoinformer, which does not exclude conventional voice exchange in non-standard situations.
