FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly, to continuous metal casting. Billet at crystalliser outlet is retained in guide unit 2 incorporating rollers 3. Spraying nozzles 5a, 5b are arranged between rollers 3 along billet travel direction to feed coolant on wider side 1a, 1b. Every nozzle 5a, 5b is coupled with holder 10 rigidly secured on piston 11 of drive 12 so that holder 10 and nozzle 5 get moving in piston displacement. Displacement of nozzles ensures change in distance between them and from them to billet 1. In billet transfer direction, nozzles are secured in common holder 10 to displace together. Drive 12 incorporates control devices 45 connected with casting machine control system 46.
EFFECT: uniform feed of coolant, good access to device elements in repair and servicing.
