FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to control of electric arc welding by consumable wire fed from at least one controlled power source 2. Control device is used to control current source and welding wire feed device. In welding, electric arc parameters are measured to calculate at least one check magnitude. With first and second different-duration time intervals 102 and sampling frequency for determination of parameter 100 defined, magnitude of said parameter 100 is saved in every sampling. At preset time, control device is used to calculate first averaged value 106 and second averaged value 107 that make check values. Thereafter, proceeding from first averaged value 106 of first time interval 101, upper and lower limits 104, 105 are defined to compared check value with said limits.
EFFECT: expanded performances, higher reliability.
