FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention can be used in chemical industry. The method of producing purified calcium chloride solution involves preparing an aqueous solution from crystalline calcium chloride, neutralising and filtering the obtained solution. The aqueous solution is prepared from crystalline calcium chloride using an aqueous solution of an electrolyte containing a hydroxide of an alkali metal and/or carbonate ions and/or hydrocarbonate ions. Total content of iron in the aqueous solution of electrolyte and crystalline calcium chloride is not less than 10 mg/l in terms of anhydrous calcium chloride. The calcium chloride solution can be prepared using an aqueous solution of electrolyte containing aluminium sulphate and/or aluminium oxychloride. The initial content of aluminium in the aqueous solution of electrolyte is not less than 5 mg/l in terms of anhydrous calcium chloride.
EFFECT: invention enables to obtain a highly pure calcium chloride solution which is suitable for use in production of office paper, having high quality of colour image fixation when printing with a jet printer.
