FIELD: hydrometallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to hydrometallurgy and can be used in the technology of producing molybdenum oxide from spent catalysts on an aluminium oxide carrier from oil or gas processing processes for producing high-purity molybdenum (VI) oxide powder. Method involves oxidative annealing of the spent catalyst and leaching of molybdenum with a soda solution. Insoluble precipitate is separated by filtration, followed by washing with water. Molybdenum is extracted from the obtained filtrate, combined with washing water and acidified to pH 2.0-4.0, in the form of ammonium paramolybdate. Extraction is carried out with a mixture of tertiary amine with C7-C9 hydrocarbon radicals and tributyl ether of phosphoric acid (TAA+TBP) in the presence of a hydrocarbon diluent (HCD). Obtained ammonium paramolybdate is dried and calcined to molybdenum oxide.
EFFECT: reducing the number of stages of processing spent reactivated catalyst and consumption of reagents with simultaneous increase in the efficiency of the process of extracting and purifying molybdenum oxide, as well as simplifying the process as a whole.
