FIELD: oil and gas production.

SUBSTANCE: device consists of case made whole with cable channel and with central channel of dimension matching external diametre of lifting pipe, and of folding arc-shape clamping brackets one end of which is loop-like and rotates on an axis passing through loop-like bracket. On both sides the case of the protector has slots with closed contours. On one side loops are secured in slots; the loops match the loop-like brackets by means of the axis. Opposite locking slots are made with bent blades of the case from the side of the protector axis and are directed into the side of the cable channel. The second ends of the arc-shaped clamping brackets have slots and are of U-shape; when the protector is assembled, they engage the locking slots and are fixed from possible disengagement by bent blades of the case.

EFFECT: simplified design and reduced time for assembly and disassembly.
