FIELD: oil-and-gas industry.
SUBSTANCE: protector comprises case and hinged arc-like clamps. Case is made integral with cable channel and has central channel with diameter matching with flow string OD for fixation of protector case at coupling. Case both sides have closed grooves. Hinges are welded in said grooves on one side and engaged via pins with hinged arc-like clamps. Note that opposite lock grooves have bent-off lugs and directed towards cable channel. One end of said clamps is shaped to loop to pivot on pin extending through loop-like clamp. Note also that every hinged arc-like clamp is equipped with two flat springs. One end of said springs is secured rigidly at outer surface of said clamp by plates and contact welding. Device case and hinged clamps have locating holes for device assembly/disassembly. Said hinged arc-like clamps feature U-like cross-section to make open recesses to accommodate flat spring-steel springs. Clamps are made of 08"КП" steel to be opened by installation wrench even at two broken flat springs.
EFFECT: reliable attachment at flow string, ease of assembly/disassembly.
