SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a communication terminal in which a reading device reads from a plurality of carriers storing identifiers of different communication service providers. In the address book of the communication terminal, information which identifies a communication partner is recorded together with communication service provider information used to communicate with the communication partner. When designating a communication partner with a designation device, a detector identifies the communication service provider used to communicate with the communication partner based on information recorded in the address book. The communication terminal communicates with the communication partner using the communication service provider identified by the detector.
