METHOD FOR PROCESSING ROUGH VEGETAL RAW MATERIAL INTO FEED AND SCREW MIXER FOR ITS IMPLEMENTATION Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC A23K1/12 

FIELD: food industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the agriculture field, in particular, to methods for preparation of rough feeds for animals feeding. The method for processing rough raw material into feed (with moisture content of initial raw material up to 30%) involves milling the raw material in a screw mixer at a temperature of 110-180°C and under a pressure of 3-50 MPa. One sets the temperature without external heat supply immediately in the process of technical processing of rough vegetal raw material in the internal cavity of the screw mixture body. One adds lime Ca(OH)₂ in an amount of 0.5-2% of the vegetal raw material weight and/or urea (NH₂)₂CO in an amount of 0.5-2% of the vegetal raw material weight to the vegetal raw material. The screw mixer for the method implementation contains a body with feed and output holes, a drive for the screw located inside the body operation chamber so that to enable rotation relative to the longitudinal axis, a mechanical unit providing for temperature 110-180°C and pressure 3-50 MPa. The mechanical unit providing for the required temperature and pressure consists of two flat rings positioned within a plane perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the screw so that the rings centres are aligned on the longitudinal axis of the screw. The first ring is rigidly fixed in the body, the second ring - on the screw. The clearance between the rings forms the output hole.

EFFECT: invention usage will allow to perform quality processing of a rough vegetal raw material into animal feed.
