MOTOR SHIP Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC B63B35/73 B63H21/18 F03H99/00

Abstract RU 2433062 C1

FIELD: transport.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to ship building. Proposed motor ship comprises hull with round bilge lines and sharp bow, and power plant. Said power plant is made up of atmospheric ionic engine. The latter comprises round cylindrical housing with inlet chamber communicated via air filter with atmosphere. Said housing accommodates rotor with radial grooves receiving spring-loaded vanes. Rotor lengthwise axis is displaced downward relative to housing lengthwise axis while its outer surface stays in contact with housing inner surface. Engine outlet chamber is made integral with housings of several identical electrical ionic pumps terminating in common exhaust tube communicated with atmosphere. Every pump comprises atmospheric air ioniser, accelerator and neutraliser connected via switch with high-voltage nuclear isotope batteries each comprising metal evacuated case to house emitter with terminal isolated from said case. Said emitter is made from metal comprising radioactive isotopes of α or β emission. Atmospheric air makes engine working body. Atmospheric ionic engine is coupled via hydraulic gear with water propeller.

EFFECT: increased cruising capacity.
