ATMOSPHERIC IONIC ENGINE Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC F02K99/00 F02C6/20

Abstract RU 2416734 C1

FIELD: engines and pumps.

SUBSTANCE: proposed engine comprises housing, shaft, electric ionic pump and terminal box. Engine novelty consists in that cylindrical revolving rotor is made integral with shaft and fitted inside engine housing. Rotor lengthwise axis is displaced relative to housing lengthwise axis. Housing is closed by front and rear covers. Shaft passes through bore of one of said covers. Rotor has radial grooves to receive spring-loaded vanes. Engine intake chamber communicates via air filter with atmosphere while engine inner chamber communicates with chambers of several electrically-driven identical-design pumps with outlet branch pipe. Every ionic pump incorporates atmospheric air ioniser, accelerating device and neutraliser with their terminals connected to those of terminal box and, via switches, to nuclear-isotope high-voltage storage batteries. Atmospheric air makes the engine propulsive mass.

EFFECT: higher power output, reduced weight and fire risks.
