FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method of producing beta-diketonate of palladium (II) or copper (II). The method involves reaction of beta-diketones with a solution of palladium (II) nitrate or copper (II) nitrate in an acetone solution. The beta-diketone used is a compound R'-CO-CH2-CO-R", where: R' and R"=-CH3, -CF3, -C6H5, -C(CH3)3, -C3F7 in different combinations. The reaction results in full deposition of crystals of the end product from the reaction solution.
EFFECT: disclosed method enables to obtain beta-diketonates of palladium (II) or copper (II) with virtually 100% output using a technique which does not require complex equipment and high power consumption.
