FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the platinum(II) beta-diketonates production process. Method comprises the potassium hexafluoroplatinate dissolving in the 2.5 M perchloric acid solution, adding ethanol to the resulting solution in amount equal to the acid volume, the reaction mixture boiling for 10–15 minutes, then cooling down, neutralization of the obtained [Pt(H₂O)₄]²⁺ cooled aqua-ion solution with the potassium hydroxide aqueous solution to pH of 2–3, precipitated potassium perchlorate removal from the reaction mixture by filtration, then addition of the 1.5-fold excess of the corresponding beta-diketonate ligand or potassium salt thereof, stirring the mixture at room temperature and bringing the reaction mixture pH to 4–6 by the potassium hydroxide solution addition, the desired product isolation by filtration. As the ligand, the beta-diketone of general formula is used R'C(O)CH₂C(O)R, where R' and R are alkyl, phenyl, perfluoroalkyl or alkoxy groups.

EFFECT: invention makes allows to shorten the process duration and reduce cost while maintaining the target products high yield.
