FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: impulse detonation engine comprises a combustion chamber made in the form of a half-spherical gas-dynamic resonator, an engine nozzle, a system of fuel components feed and injection, a system of detonation burning initiation. Additionally the combustion chamber comprises an accelerator chamber with a system of fastening braces coaxially to the combustion chamber. The front end of the accelerator chamber matches the centre of the half-spherical tractive wall of the gas dynamic resonator, and its rear end directly adjoins the nozzle unit.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce pre-detonation distance of fuel-air or fuel mixture and to increase specific impulse of the engine draft.
