FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: device for measuring moisture of soil horizons includes meter, a bar and nonelectroconductive housing made of two hemispheres with two electrodes on the outer surface of each hemisphere, and with projections fitting each other and connected by means of springs. Inside the housing in hallows bar in the form of tubes is placed, rigidly attached to one of the projections, with the rod in the middle, which is made to rotate around its axis, and a bar has a hole for a cord that connects the movable hemisphere with the rod. Meter consists of voltammeter and is connected to electrodes on each hemisphere.
EFFECT: invention allows determining the moisture content of different soil layers without soil sampling, thereby reducing labor costs.
