FIELD: electricity.

SUBSTANCE: spiral resonator is proposed as a moisture sensitive device mounted on an internal dielectric pipe which is fixed by discs inside an external dielectric pipe. The device also contains measuring and electronic units, two containers for soil inserted in housing at different distance from spiral resonator, and electric probes arranged diametrically opposite with optimal orientation.

EFFECT: increased sensitivity of the spiral resonator to a change of soil moisture content, expanded measurement range, as well as convenient operation with soil samples.
