FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: moisture-sensitive element of a gas moisture sensor, containing a nonionic surfactant, e.g. polyglycol ether of fatty acids of general formula R-COO(CH2CH2O)6H, where R is a stearic acid residue, and a solvent, e.g. ethyl alcohol. The new composition of the moisture-sensitive element includes a polyatomic alcohol of general formula CnHm(OH)k, e.g. glycerine C3H5(OH)3.
EFFECT: lower output resistance of the sensor and low inertia of the sensor, which widens the measurement range, including trace moisture measurements.
