SUBSTANCE: according to the invention, an electrode assembly of a bipolar lead accumulator contains a sealed partition made of non-conductive material, positive and negative pastes placed in shielded pockets and located from both sides of the partition, lead shunts placed in the pastes and passing through the partition and electrically connecting the pastes of different polarity from both sides of the partition; the pastes are placed in the cylindrical shielded pockets separated from the partition by a felt porous separator layer.
EFFECT: improved design of the electrode assembly, simplified technology, better specific performance and battery life.
