FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to electrochemical industry, in particular to production of lead-acid accumulators. Method of manufacturing an electrode of a lead-acid battery involves electrochemical formation of active composition of surface layer of lead current collector, which is pre-treated with at pressure in range of 2,648-5,492 bar and then placed in a pocket of a stretchable elastic shell of corrosion-resistant porous fabric for electrochemical treatment.
EFFECT: technical result of invention is to improve electrical characteristics of electrode, as well as increasing service life of lead current collector due to lower corrosion losses.
