FIELD: information technology.
SUBSTANCE: techniques for performing phase correction for wireless communication are described. Received pilot symbols and received data symbols may be obtained from an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) and/or multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) transmission. First phase information is obtained based on the pilot symbols received from a first set of subcarriers in the current symbol period. Second phase information is obtained based on data symbols received from a second set of subcarriers in the current symbol period. The phase of data symbols received in the current symbol period is corrected based on the first phase information. The phase of data symbols received in the last symbol period is corrected based on the second phase error information.
EFFECT: removal of phase errors.
