FIELD: technological processes.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to a machine-building technology in the field of diamond-abrasive treatment and may be used for finishing treatment of shafts with a complicated shape surface, helical surfaces of accurate screws, for instance, screws in screw pumps, from hard-to-polish materials by method of enclosing polishing. Rotation movements are given to a stock and a tool around their axes. The tool is used as a toroid-shape elastic shell that embraces the tool and is installed on the body of the toroid-shape elastic shell with diamond-abrasive layer at the inner surface of a toroid, line feed is sent to which. The elastic shell has a nozzle with a nipple to supply compressed air that puts the shell into the working condition. A three-phase asynchronous shorted electric motor is used of inbuilt design with poles. Inside the motor there is a rotor fixed at rolling bearings, and the specified body is made as a stator. The toroid-shape is fixed in the hole of the rotor with the help of a unit screwed into its threaded part at the end. The nipple is equipped with a check valve, which holds pressure of compressed air pumped into the toroid-shape shell.

EFFECT: higher quality and efficiency of machining by increasing area of tool contact and complex-shae surface of the stock.
