FIELD: machine engineering, possibly finish grinding and honing of cone surfaces of parts of hard-to-form materials having trend to occurring burnings and micro-cracking.
SUBSTANCE: housing of head is in the form of tore like elastic envelope. Spindle is hollow one and it has central lengthwise opening for supplying compressed gas into head housing. Diamond-abrasive blocks on base of flexible binder are secured to flexible substrate and arranged along periphery of housing. Head includes mechanism for controlling inclination angle of head housing relative to plane normal to lengthwise rotation axis. Said mechanism includes two washers jointly connected one to other; one washer is rigidly secured to spindle and other washer is rigidly secured to end of housing. Coil compression spring is arranged between washers diametrically opposite relative to said articulation joint. Spherical and cone washers abutted one to other are arranged at side of inclination angle of housing end opposite relative to said mechanism.
EFFECT: enhanced efficiency and accuracy of working due to controlling distribution of specific pressure acting upon worked surface without preliminarily tuning in accordance with conicity value, lowered heat stress of process due to using head with oscillating and intermittent cutting layer.
