FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: device has an adapter to which an article is mounted, a vertical displacement mechanism and a platform for turning the adapter, a dynamometric platform, dynamometric elements My and Mz, angle sensors, a spring system, a frame and two screw devices for setting vibrations. The vertical displacement mechanism and the platform for turning the adapter in a system with the dynamometric element My with inclined posts ensure superposition of the centre of mass of the article and the coordinate origin of the dynamometric element My with the axis of flapping hinges. As a result, the useful measured moment My is free from position and associated moments. Successive turning of the adapter by fixed angles about the vertical axis, combined with measurement of moments My and Mz during vibration of the article, enables to determine all inertia tensor elements.
EFFECT: broader functionalities, simple design and high measurement accuracy.
