SUBSTANCE: image processing apparatus, comprising a reading unit configured to read an image from a document to generate image data based on the read image, receives a process description file which determines content of reading processing to be performed by the reading unit, and content of transmission processing for transmitting image data generated by the reading unit; calls for executing reading processing by the reading unit in order to generate image data according to the description which is included in the obtained process description file; and when a plurality of process description files is selected and an instruction is issued to execute the selected plurality of process description files, calls for transmission of the generated image data according to the description included in each of the selected plurality of process description files.
EFFECT: possibility of sending image data according to a description when a user calls for execution of the selected plurality of process description files, which enables the user to save time and efforts needed to execute more than one description file.
