SUBSTANCE: besides remote UE, the system further includes multi-mode terminal media transfer function (MTF) user equipment (UE) which supports media flow transfer between multiple modes and carries media flow transfer context information in an initiated media stream transfer request, and a MTF which acts as an agent to initiate and perform a media renegotiation with the remote UE, according to the media flow transfer context information carried in the request. After the media renegotiation, the MTF UE or MTF is configured to release the media flow which needs to be transferred before the media renegotiation. Consequently, when a domain transfer occurs, the media stream can be transferred between the bearers of different access modes which the MTF UE supports.
EFFECT: system, method and apparatus for implementing multimedia call continuity solve the problem due to that, when a domain transfer occurs, part of a media flow in a multimedia session cannot be transferred between bearers of different access modes.
