FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to rocketry, namely, to methods of producing solid propellants. Proposed method consists in preparing nitrate ester, mixing propellant components in neutral medium and using known phases of processing ballistic propellant mass. Nitrate processing assembly represents Schlegel apparatus while mixer is made up of 20 l-volume mixer. Propellant forge-rolling is performed by smooth rolls in 3 to 5 passes with opening of rolls making 0.5 mm and, further, in 15-22 passes with opening of rolls making 1.5 mm.
EFFECT: higher quality of solid propellants.
