FIELD: engines and pumps.
SUBSTANCE: solid propellant rocket engine includes housing with attachment fitting of after section, nozzle and annular screen located around the nozzle and equipped with junction to after section. Junction of annular screen to after section is made in the form of hollow cylinder attached to after section, the bottoms of which have central holes through which annular screen passes. On annular screen there installed is the piston dividing the volume of hollow cylinder into above-piston cavity located between piston and inner volume of after section and under-piston cavity. Above-piston cavity is interconnected with environment, and under-piston cavity is interconnected with inner volume of after section.
EFFECT: invention allows improving reliability of rocket engine, reducing the impact on housing at start, and compensating for technological errors of dimensions at installation of after section.
