FIELD: electricity.
SUBSTANCE: according to the method, an active current of the main frequency is generated into the power system jointly with the currents of compensation of the first group of harmonics that are inverse relative to the equivalent currents of higher harmonics generated by n - phase non-linear active-reactive load, previously extracted from a row of higher harmonics, which do not carry the main energy of the specified row. At the same time the specified generated currents are shaped either due to, individually, phase-by-phase extracted energy of reactive components of the following currents: the main frequency and the second group of harmonics, carrying the main energy of the specified row of higher harmonics, in case the value of extracted energy is equivalent to the energy of generated currents, or, in case if the required value of energy is higher than the specified extracted energy of reactive current components, due to the following ones jointly extracted: energy of reactive current components and an additionally extracted share of energy of active currents of the main frequency.
EFFECT: reduced insufficient losses of power and phase-by-phase levelling of currents.
