SUBSTANCE: apparatus for controlling radiation of a light-emitting diode array, having M switches whose control inputs are connected to outputs of a control system, has an M by N array of light-emitting diodes which form groups consisting of 1 i,…k.i, …N.i light-emitting diodes. The apparatus is fitted with a unit of high-precision current stabilisers, the input of which is connected to the output of the control system through a data bus, and the output is connected to the cathodes of the light-emitting diodes of the corresponding group of light-emitting diodes, wherein anodes of each group of light-emitting diodes of the array are connected to corresponding power electrodes of M current switches, while other power electrodes of these current switches are connected to the positive terminal of a power supply, and cathodes of each group of light-emitting diodes of the array are connected to each other.
EFFECT: increase in the number of displayed brightness levels while preserving design of the device and power consumption level.
