FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, in particular to ophthalmology and deals with treatment of dystrophic diseases of posterior eye pole. For this purpose dissection of conjunctiva and separation of Tenon's capsule to posterior eye pole are performed. Into area of optic nerve successively introduced are 10% solution of trichloroacetic acid and crystalline talc. After 10-14 days into area of optic nerve retrobulbarly introduced are 0.5-0.8 ml of suspension of autologous macrophages, obtained from monocytes of patient's peripheral blood, in concentration (1.5-6.5)×106 live cells/ml. Procedure of macrophage suspension introduction is repeated after three and six months.
EFFECT: method increases treatment efficiency due to improvement of blood circulation in area of posterior eye pole with stimulation of reparative processes in affected optic fibres.
