FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves successively making conjunctiva incision and Tenon's capsule incision 7-8 mm apart from the limb and then towards the optic nerve entrance area. Cryogenic coagulator device nozzle is set close to the posterior eye pole and cryogenic sclera coagulation is carried out in the zone beginning from 5 mm apart from the optic nerve excluding macula projection to form II order coagulates. Then, superficial U-shaped vasculo-episcleral flap is formed 10-12 mm apart from the limb. The flap is fixed with its apex to sclera in the area of cryogenic coagulation 3-6 mm aside from the optic nerve with 1-2 interrupted sutures. Biological material of alloplant is placed and fixed over the optic nerve. EFFECT: enhanced effectiveness of treatment; reduced risk of complications. 1 dwg, 1 tbl
