FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of fibrous porous sorbents to be used in collecting oil and its products from various surfaces, including water and soil. Proposed method consists in subjecting wood work wastes mixed with foamed polystyrene to self-hydrolysis by water steam at 120-130°C, 3 MPa and curing for 60 s with subsequent decompression, ratio of said components in wt % making as follows: polymer material - 40-90, wood work wastes - 60-10.
EFFECT: simplified process, improved sorption properties.
