HIGHLY BIODEGRADABLE OIL SORBENT BASED ON CELLULOSE ETHER DERIVATIVES Russian patent published in 2021 - IPC E02B15/04 B01J20/00

Abstract RU 2750398 C1

FIELD: new materials creation.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of creating new materials, namely to materials of petrochemical synthesis, and can be used to create an innovative high-tech product - highly efficient environmentally friendly sorbents for oil and oil products. Highly biodegradable oil sorbent contains a cellulose ether derivative - hydroxypropyl methylcellulose. The oil sorbent has a highly porous structure, the cavities of which occupy at least 65% of the volume, is a tree-like network of interconnected pores with sizes from 2 to 10 nm and has a bulk density of 20 to 80 kg/m3.

EFFECT: high sorption capacity in relation to oil and oil products, high retention capacity, minimum time for absorption of the bulk of spills, the possibility of regeneration of the absorbed product, efficiency, environmental friendliness, manufacturability, production and disposal of oil sorbent based on cellulose ether derivatives.
