FIELD: process technologies.
SUBSTANCE: electric plane contains a motor, a blade, a chip removal mechanism. The chip removal mechanism uses returned air released by the working motor. The chip removal mechanism comprises an offtake has holes at both ends in the longitudinal direction and an inlet hole for returned air generated by the motor. The inlet hole is formed in an intermediate area of the offtake in the longitudinal direction. The offtake extends in the direction crossed with the chipping direction of the plane blade. In addition, the chip removal mechanism comprises a separate mechanical portion for change of the chip removal direction. The mechanical portion is detachable in one of the holes for determining the chip removal direction. The mechanical portion for change of the chip removal direction includes closing and rejecting elements. The closing element closes one of the holes. The rejecting element changes the direction of returned air flow generated by the motor. The rejecting element extends along the offtake and supply returned air generated by the motor into the offtake through an inlet passage for returned air to the closing element. Then, the rejecting element changes the direction of returned air flow near the closing element and directs returned air generated by the motor to the opened hole.
EFFECT: higher effectiveness of using the internal space which is used as a chip offtake in the electric plane.
