FIELD: process technologies.
SUBSTANCE: structural reinforcing material (20) contains a primary material selected from a group consisting of a thermoplastic, low-viscosity thermoplastics with short transient phases and low viscosities, metal alloys of low fusion temperature, and combinations of such. With standard temperature and pressure (STP), the structural reinforcing material (20) is a solid substance or represents paste or their mixture. Being heated to activation temperature, the structural reinforcing material (20) becomes flowing into the cavity (10). After cooled, the structural reinforcing material (20) is a solid or hardened thermoplastic with durability sufficient for cavity reinforcement (10). A structural reinforcing insert (111) comprises the structural reinforcing material (20). This insert may be arranged in the reinforced cavity (10) of a motor vehicle (2). Also, what is disclosed is a method of cavity (10) reinforcement due to the structural reinforcing material attached to a carrier to form the insert to be placed in the cavity.
EFFECT: reduced thickness of the material and the insert, provided reliable attachment to the carrier, as well as for regular compaction when in use.
