SUBSTANCE: invention refers to timber rafting and can be applied in rafting unit forming with artificial buoyancy aid out of non-buoyant or limited buoyancy timber for further transportation by waterways in rafts to consumer. Device for the method implementation includes floating base where rotating platform with hydraulic handler is mounted for stacking of timber lifted by sunken wood lifting aggregate from collector bay into forming timber cartridge, and crane unit for lowering of formed rafting unit to water. Collector bay features device of sunken wood adjustment cutting. Device includes tank for buoyancy aid element storage in the hold of floating base.
EFFECT: multipurpose functioning, enhanced amount and quality of sunken wood removal from water basins, possible waterway transportation or large-volume sunken wood in rafts of required buoyancy.
