FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to timber transportation. Device to float wood with limited buoyancy margin and without any buoyancy margin comprises closed barrier to locate wood and fastening assembly. The novelty is the fact that device consists of composite elements of crossover barrier, arranged of strong polymer material, hollow from inside and provided with stiffening ribs, serving both as tie to hold timber and artificial float, providing for wood buoyancy, joined aside with flexible ties of steel ropes, equipped with nets at end elements with cell holes below minimum diametre of rafted timber.
EFFECT: making it possible to raft sunken wood with low margin of buoyancy, cargo safety in transportation, improved ecological condition of waterways.
