PROCEDURE FOR PROTECTION OF IMMERSED ELECTRO-CENTRIFUGAL PUMP SUSPENDED ON PRODUCTION STRING FROM CORROSION Russian patent published in 2011 - IPC E21B41/02 

FIELD: gas and oil production.

SUBSTANCE: procedure consists in: arrangement of protector in borehole of well together with production string and electro-centrifugal pump. Contact of the protector with walls of the well is insulated. Also, a case of the electro-centrifugal pump is additionally insulated from walls of the well by means of centralisers-insulators made of material of similar potential with the pump case. An upper centraliser-insulator is positioned on a suspended branch of the pump and is located in above-the pump space of the well, while a lower one is connected to a compensator of hydro-protection of the pump by means of a sub and is arranged in under-the pump space. The protector is connected to a lower centraliser-insulator by means of the sub. The upper centraliser-protector is made in form of a cylinder bush, while the lower one is made in form of a solid case with external and internal connecting threads. The centralisers-insulators have ribs equipped with insulating dielectric padding.

EFFECT: raised efficiency of protection of case of immersed electro-centrifugal pump.
