FIELD: tread protection.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to tread protection and can be used for corrosion protection of downhole submersible equipment. The method includes preliminary attachment of a protector to the lower part of the submersible equipment with the formation of a galvanic pair, in which the submersible equipment is the cathode, the protector is the anode, and the liquid is the electrolyte, and with the gradual destruction of the protector, which is controlled by a sensor placed on the submersible equipment and consisting of a dielectric substrate and conductive jumpers of different sizes, connected to a single base, by monitoring the electrical parameters at the terminals from the jumpers and from the base, in this case, the jumpers are made of the protector material for electrochemical protection against corrosion, the sizes of the jumpers are made corresponding to different weight parts of the protector, the sensor is placed in the same environment with the protector, the sequential change in the potential difference between the base and the bridges is monitored, the remaining time of the protector operation is calculated until the potential difference between the base changes and the largest size bridge and replace the protector until it is completely dissolved.
EFFECT: invention improves reliability of the submersible equipment by increasing reliability of its protection against corrosion.
