FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: seismic signal source has a support plate mounted on a base by clamps through elastic sheaths, hydraulically connected to an average pressure source and a hydrostatic vibration generator. The hydrostatic vibration generator is connected to a hydraulic motor powered by a hydraulic pump through a control system. The seismic signal source has a mass which can fall onto the support plate and acts on a switch-on sensor connected to the control system and a pressure tank.
EFFECT: high signal resolution owing to dynamic action on the ground space and reduced weight of the source owing to application of the energy of the mass and energy of the generator.
