FIELD: seismic prospecting. SUBSTANCE: hydraulic exciter for generating seismic sweep signal includes hydraulic power source, hydro-pneumatic accumulator, hydraulic motor, control valve, hydro-volumetric pulser, flywheel mounted on motor shaft and actuating mechanism made in the form of resilient emitter. Moment of flywheel inertia is adjustable and flywheel is associated with its control system through pusher. Flywheel has two disks mounted coaxially on frame and provided with movable and immovable supports respectively. Disks are interconnected by means of link member. Control system incorporates flywheel angle-data transmitter, unit for comparing current and reference angles, power amplifier, servocontrol valve, power cylinder, program medium for setting change of angle. Power cylinder is associated with flywheel pusher. EFFECT: improved efficiency. 3 cl, 2 dwg
