SUBSTANCE: implementation of the present invention enables rational and efficient copying switched off program resources. In one of the versions, an exercise program receives a program resource identifier, for example a virtual machine, installed on another partition, a switched off operating system or an application program. The exercise program also receives indications on user attributes which need to be deleted from the program resource. These attributes can contain personal information, as well as the level of software updates, security settings, user settings etc. Upon execution, the exercise program redirects exercise program function calls to the program resource located on another partition (or even on the same partition), while the program resource is running. That way, the exercise program can safely create a template of the program resource without the need to involve the partition on which the exercise program is running.

EFFECT: high efficiency of creating the required number of template copies of the same resource.
