SUBSTANCE: following operations are performed in a base station: generation of system information, multiplexing first system information required for cell search, contained in the system information, into a first broadcast channel, and multiplexing second system information, different from the first system information and contained in the system information, into a common data channel, the first broadcast channel is transmitted in a shorter time interval compared to the common data channel; and in a mobile station, the first broadcast channel is received in a shorter time interval compared to the common data channel.
EFFECT: reduced volume of information received by a mobile station via a broadcast channel.
