FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: here is disclosed titanium alloy for manufacture of sheet semi-finished items or structural items, or structural armour and procedure for its production. Alloy contains aluminium, vanadium, molybdenum, chromium, iron, nickel, zirconium, nitrogen, oxygen, carbon, silicon and titanium. Values of molybdenum Moeq and aluminium Aleq equivalents are determined by formulas: Moeq=[Mo]+[V]/1.5+[Cr]*1.25+[Fe]*2.5+[Ni]/0.8 (1), Aleq=[Al]+10[O]+10[C]+20[N]+[Zr]/6 (2) and amount to: Moeq=3.1-7.0, Aleq=5.4-7.1 for sheet semi-finished products or Moeq-3.1-7.0, Aleq=7.11-9.7 for structural items, or Moeq=7.0-13.40, Aleq=5.3-9.20 for structural armour. The procedure consists in preparation of charge, in production of melt at the first re-melting in a scull furnace and in casting a cylinder ingot electrode of melt in a mould. This electrode is used at the second re-melting in a vacuum arc furnace. Charge is prepared from wastes of titanium alloys, composition of which is made up depending on specified values of equivalents and determined by composition of wastes and calculated by formulas: Moeq=[Mo]+[V]/1.5+[Cr]*1.25+[Fe]*2.5+[Ni]/0.8 (1), Aleq=[Al]+10[o]+10[c]+20[N]+[Zr]/6 (2).
EFFECT: stable strength and process properties of alloy at control of equivalents at use of wide range of wastes of various chemical composition.
