FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: device for determining electrical resistance of metals and alloys has a horizontal quartz vessel with a cylindrical channel for the test sample with four current and potential electrodes. The current electrodes lie horizontally at opposite ends of the axially symmetric cylindrical part of the vessel of the measurement compartment, and on the top, vertical tubes are tightly attached to the butt-ends of the cylindrical channel, where the top ends of the tubes end with valve and receiving cartridges which are linked by tubes with two containers for initial components of alloys with a volume-calibrated batching tube in between.
EFFECT: possibility of complete degassing of the inner surface of the device and samples separately or together in continuous vacuum pumping conditions; obtaining solid high-quality samples as a result of complete and unimpeded filling of the working channel of the device with liquid sample alloys in streamline conditions without spraying or formation of volumetric and vapour-gas voids in the wall; possibility of measuring electrical resistance of alloys in a wide range of compositions.
