SUBSTANCE: optical recording medium has a recording layer available for recording at the first wave length and accessible for reading at the second wavelength. The recording layer has a structure with grooves. At the first wave length the structure with grooves has significantly higher efficiency of diffraction in the first order of diffraction for generation of a two-cycle signal. At the second wave length it has efficiency of diffraction close to zero in the first order of diffraction.
EFFECT: increased compatibility of medium with single recording with players and recorders.
