FIELD: information technologies.
SUBSTANCE: multilayer optical data medium of ROM-, WORM- and RW-type provides possibility to overlap simultaneously fluorescent and reflective data recording and (or) reading principles in one layer. In such medium information is recorded as pits of various depths in two neighboring interleaved spiral tracks or in one and the same track. Reading of information is performed consequently, i.e. for example fluorescent signal only is read first, then - reflective signal only; or simultaneously by two optical heads: reflective and fluorescent signals are read.
EFFECT: increase in density and volume of recorded information.
