SUBSTANCE: method includes the following: the first stage, at which a mobile station initiates sending a request for initial access to a network, a request to change over into an anticipation mode or a request to update location to a gateway of service access network; and the second stage, at which during reception of the specified request a gateway of the service access network, in compliance with information on duration of anticipation mode timer transferred in the specified request or saved earlier, matches duration of the anticipation mode timer and notifies the mobile station on the matched duration of the anticipation mode timer.
EFFECT: execution of matching and transfer of information on location update time interval between gateways of access network, and also between the gateway of access network and the mobile station in WiMAX network so that time intervals of location update of the network side and the mobile station are maintained as coordinated.
