FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to forced electromagnetic braking and fixed stop of heat-hardened ferromagnetic rolled stock. Proposed method comprises intensifying normal contact forces and friction factor by magnetising contact surfaces of the pair "moving ferromagnetic rolled stock-stationary braking electromagnet" at preset rolled stock position coordinate. Note here that said magnetisation of said pair to generate coercive braking force is carried out in the function of ferromagnetic phase amount in said rolled stock.
EFFECT: stabilised coercive electromagnetic braking of adjacent rolled strips on cooler with different parameters.
