FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: device consists of at least one hollow chamber (20) with multitude of tubular nozzles (30) directed to corresponding side of strip (15). Vibrations or strip shifting are minimised without increase of device cost due to the following: on a side facing processed side of strip (15) hollow chamber (20) has surface (22), profile (P) of which is changed in at least one specified direction (D) symmetrically relative to central surface (Q) perpendicular to plane of strip (15). Tubular nozzles (30) are secured with their bases (33) on this surface (22) of variable profile so, that their axes (35) are located in essence perpendicular to the said variable profile at a corresponding point. Length (1) of tubular nozzles is chosen so, that outlet orifices (36) of these nozzles are in common plane (R) in essence parallel to plane of strip (15).
EFFECT: improved characteristics of moving strip cooling.
